Chelsea midfielder has spotted his own replacement – but Arsenal are closing in

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas knows a thing or two about midfielders.

The Spaniard broke into the Arsenal team at 16, having already spent years developing in Barcelona at La Masia.

He’s been a pundit for the BBC at the World Cup, and one player in particular has caught his eye: Lucas Torreira of Uruguay.

Speaking during the South American nation’s game yesterday, Fabregas was full of praise for the young player, as you can see in these quotes carried in the Metro:

“They also have Torreira on the bench who I really like for Sampdoria.”

Unfortunately for Chelsea, who are keen for a midfielder to replace Fabregas himself as he reaches the end of his spell at the top level, he’s already seemingly on his way to Arsenal.

It’s not too late however – a deal hasn’t been announced yet.

Maybe Cesc can send a text to Marina and tell her that he’s spotted the man that we need in the middle of the park?
