Chelsea interested in swap deal for Inter Milan star but will have to let one star leave

Chelsea want to sign a midfielder or two this summer to partner N’Golo Kante next season and after several names have been linked in the last couple of transfer windows, Inter Milan’s Martias Vecino has emerged as the latest.

According to Calciomercato, the Blues will seek to offer last summer signing Davide Zappacosta to the Italian giants as they seek to get Vecino in return.

Zappacosta hopes to improve after signing for Chelsea in the summer of 2017, but has since become a fringe player under Antonio Conte, who preferred to use Victor Moses in the right wing back position despite the Nigerian’s failures across the entire season.

Ironically, it was Antonio Conte who convinced the Italian defender to sign for the Blues in the final minutes of the summer transfer window, after he gave him his first Italy national team call-up as manager of the Azzuri.

Team Talk says incoming Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is a keen admirer of the Nerazzurri midfielder and wants to work with him in England if he signs for the Blues.
