Chelsea finally agree to pay release clause for Maurizio Sarri and could complete deal in next few hours

We know you have heard this before, Chelsea almost tying up the deal for a manager to arrive at the club as replacement for Antonio Conte. Any more news claiming that is almost turned down by fans who are growing tired of the ill growth at the club.

However, all that may be set to change, with Football Italia saying the Blues are ready to pay Napoli a release figure of €5m to sign summer target Maurizio Sarri. As per the report by Football Italia, who quote other newspapers like Sportitalia, the Corriere del Mezzogiorno newspaper, Sarri’s deal to London could be firmed up by Tuesday.

Guardian also report that in the Chelsea dug out next season, we could have a former Blue in there as assistant manager in Gianfranco Zola.

The Italian could join his compatriot as the leaders of the technical team to see a different approach to Chelsea’s style next season and beyond.

Conte however, as per the Telegraph, needs to be paid an amount of £9m to leave his post at the club, as compensation for his one-year remaining on his deal.
