Chelsea agree ‘personal terms’ with manager but keep off announcement until one condition is satisfied

Laurent Blanc

Chelsea have agreed personal terms with their next manager but have not made an announcement until his assistant manager is confirmed.

Blanc has emerged the favorite for the role at Chelsea despite Chelsea going close to two other managers, with talks with Luis Enrique and Maurizio Sarri proving indecisive for varying reasons.

Enrique’s move fell through for his ‘arrogance’ as per Marca while Sarri’s move to Stamford Bridge has all been denied by his hefty release clause in his Napoli contract.

That has led Chelsea to begin intense talks with Blanc who is now on the brink of being named the next Chelsea manager to replace Antonio Conte at the club.

Blanc will return to management for the first time since he was sacked by Paris Saint Germain in the summer of 2016. According to Football Italia, the Frenchman has agreed personal terms with Chelsea but the Blues are resisting the temptation of naming him as the next tactician.
