Agent of Serie A defender meets Chelsea chiefs in Italy to firm up summer deal

Chelsea are hoping to close in on some summer targets in the next few weeks and will sign Danielle Rugani is Maurizio Sarri brought in as manager of the club.

According to Sport Italia via Tribal Football, Chelsea chiefs met with Rugani’s agent Fali Ramadani to discuss the move and discussions went pretty well in the first meeting on Tuesday.

Ramadani is thought to be ready to seal the deal for Sarri to move to England this summer and according to the report, is negotiating firmly to free Sarri from his Napoli contract.

The Blues have not yet sacked Antonio Conte, with the former Juventus manager still with a year remaining on his contract at the club. Despite winning two trophies in his first two years in charge of the Blues as per the Sun, Conte’s job is on the line and could be replaced by Sarri who has been the favorite so far.

Rugani will likely become a Chelsea player if Sarri firms up his transfer list as Chelsea manager this summer although as reported by the Express, Arsenal are also chasing after the defender.
