Chelsea target Jean Michael Serri could be finally set to make a switch from Nice to another European club, and it looks likely it will not be Chelsea after a long drawn summer transfer.
The Blues are in search of a midfielder to partner N’Golo Kante in their central midfield and Serri has remained one of their top targets. His enterprising displays in the French Ligue 1 and ability to pick passes in the final third on the pitch makes him a desirable player for several top clubs in Europe.
In England, Manchester City, Arsenal and West Ham United have also lined him up to move in. However, according to Sky Sports, Serri’s agent will be moving from France to Italy next week to finalize move to Napoli.
The Italian giants have become an attractive club in recent times, following the change in their brand of football and a positive feel to their football.
It was understood Chelsea have agreed terms with Serri for a summer move but this development will cancel those rumors and bring up new dimensions to a possible move elsewhere.
