“It’s the worst thing I’ve experienced in my career” – Chelsea stalwart regrets his moment of madness

Victor Moses had an exceptional season at Chelsea last year.

It’s easy to forget he was on the verge of being loaned out, as he had been in preceding seasons, before he showed the qualities that Antonio Conte looked for in preseason.

After rampaging up and down the right flank in the all conquering 343, he converted doubters into fans with his excellent performances.

It looked as though it was all going to climax in a double win, but Chelsea took a shocking stumble against Arsenal in a final which saw Moses sent off after picking up a second yellow for diving.

Speaking to FourFourTwo, he discussed the that moment:

“It’s definitely the worst feeling I’ve experienced in my career. I want to be on the pitch to help my team-mates and it’s not nice.

Just as last season’s final was a surprise bitter end to a sweet season, this weekend’s could be a pleasant golden sheen on an otherwise bleak 9 months. For Moses too, Saturday could be a redeeming day for a moment he clearly won’t forget anytime soon.
