“We will be ready next season” – Eden Hazard makes statement on winning title next season to signal he won’t be sold this summer

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard is one of the most sought after players on the planet especially as the summer transfer window is about opening, with Real Madrid lurking.

Since his arrival at the club in 2012, the Belgium international has attracted interest from top European clubs including Real who remain interested in signing him.

With hi contract set to expire in the summer of 2020, the Blues are prepared to offer him a new deal but Hazard has yet to commit his future to the Stamford Bridge outfit.

He has hinted recently, he wants his ambition to be matched by the club if they want to keep him at the club for more years, and had seemingly confirmed he is staying at least for next season in his interview with Evening Standard’s Simon Johnson.

Hazard says he and his teammates are ready to challenge for the Premier League title from Manchester City next season.

“Yes. We have a lot of top players, players who are used to winning trophies. We will be ready next season. I think all of the players and the club want one thing and that’s to win the title. Of course we will see if we can bring in some new players. But we will be focused on winning the title, that’s it.

If [Manchester] City keep playing like this, it is going to be hard, but you never know in football. It is always hard to win the League one season and then win it again the next year. Can winning the FA Cup in the last game be taken into the start of next season? Yes, of course.”
