Rising Serbian star using Chelsea interest to pressure his own board

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic has put pressure on his club after interest from Chelsea in his services.

The former Chelsea boss has been a massive hit with the Whites, leading them to the playoffs two years in a row and playing exciting dynamic football spearheaded by young players.

In other words, exactly what Chelsea want, just at a lower level. Ultimately his lack of top flight experience in a top league may put the Blues off appointing him, however he’s certainly using the reported interest from earlier in this week as leverage.

Fulham are a second division team right now, but they have a rich owner and the potential to offer their young talents plenty of money should they go up.

It’s if they fail to progress through this Saturday’s Playoff Final against Aston Villa that they should be afraid of losing some of their stars – and maybe their manager too.
