Manchester United have ‘held preliminary talks’ with Willian ahead of summer move

A report by Manchester Evening News says Jose Mourinho has sanctioned Man United’s representatives to hold preliminary talks with summer target Willian ahead of a summer move.

Throughout this season, Willian has been linked with a reunion with Mourinho at Man United, and it looks as thought he Portuguese manager is stepping up his move for the Brazil star next summer.

It is not the first time Mourinho has gone close to Willian since he moved to Man United. He signed the winger from Shahkter Donetsk in 2013 when he arrived at Chelsea and considered resigning him in the summer of 2016 but Antonio Conte blocked the move.

He succeeded however in signing Nemanja Matic who become an instant success at Old Trafford while Chelsea are thought to be keen on making sure he does not repeat the transfer next summer as per the Independent.

The report by MEN says Man United are stepping up their chase of the forward and they seek to beef up their squad next season to compete against Man City for the Premier League title.
