Chelsea are the seventh most valuable club by “enterprise value” according to accounting firm KPMG.
The Blues are valued at €17.6bn in this study, ahead of Liverpool and Tottenham but behind Arsenal and the Manchester clubs. Missing out on the Champions League for the second year out of three is not going to help.
It makes interesting reading in a week that has seen speculation about how long Roman Abramovich will remain the club’s owner.
