Chelsea youngster desperate to not be loaned out; but it looks likely

Jeremie Boga has just finished a relatively successful loan at Birmingham, and he’s been speaking to the French press about his desire to avoid having another short term move.

Speaking to FootMercato, he said he has “clear ideas for his future” – We Ain’t Got No History have all his quotes translated here.

The problem for Boga is that he has a contract until 2020. And it’s in Chelsea’s interest to keep loaning him out to improve his value. While he didn’t excel in the Championship, he played a lot of games, and if he does that again next year, even in the same division, his value will go up.

So unless he’s able to engineer a high-value move this summer (unlikely), or forces his way into the first team reckoning at Chelsea (even less likely), it looks like he’ll be back on loan next season, whether he likes it or not.

Sorry, Jeremie.
