Chelsea shockingly ready to accept cut price fee for star after one season failure

The rumors just will not go away when it comes to potential transfers Chelsea might be involved in and one that still lingers is that of Alvaro Morata.

The striker has been tipped to be on his way out of Chelsea next summer with his likely destination being Juventus as per the Sun. Having spent time in Turin a few seasons back, Morata is said to be aiming for a return to the Serie A giants after a torrid season in England.

He was signed by Chelsea for around £70 million last summer according to the report by Sport Witness, and was expected to hit the ground running in the Premier League, and that, he did not fail. The 25-year old scored a good number of goals in his first few games at the club, most of them headers.

These days the goals have run dry. Winter signing Olivier Giroud has stepped in and banged in the goals, becoming a favorite of the Stamford Bridge faithful.

According to Tuttosport, via Sports Witness, Chelsea have given up on Morata and are willing to accept a bid of around £50 million for his services, and Juventus are likely to be interested in the deal. If that goes through, Chelsea will be losing a young promising striker with so many years ahead of him, and will be stuck with Giroud, who is the wrong side of 30 years and has only one year remaining on his current contract.

The Blues, though will likely move in for other strikers in the market with Daily Mail saying Edison Cavani is the ideal replacement top officials at the club are looking to sign next summer.
