Chelsea in the perfect moment to pounce for new Azpilicueta

Chelsea are looking for bargains this summer, and as always Spain is the place to look.

Not only does the country produce top class players at a rate of knots, they also have the advantage of compulsory transfer clauses in players contracts. While these can be astronomically high on players like Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo, they are much more realistic on players at smaller clubs.

It means a team like Chelsea can buy a player at a fixed price, and not get held to ransom by the sellers.

One player the Blues should seriously be considering is Jonny full back at Celta Vigo. He would provide the same versatile, technically sound Spanish defender on a budget qualities that Cear Azpilicueta did.

The number of Spaniards in the team would help him settle too.

Vigo are in limbo after losing another manager, and now would be the time to pounce.

His €18m release clause, as cited here by Fichajes, just sweetens the deal.
