Chelsea add shock Championship manager to list of Conte successors

Chelsea have been pursuing an ever shrinking list of managers to potentially replace Antonio Conte.

Firstly Thomas Tuchel was snapped up by PSG, and we’ve Roberto Mancini take the Italy job. Even Maurizio Sarri seems to have come very close to signing a new deal at Napoli.

But there’s now finally been an addition to the list – Fulham manager and former Chelsea player Slavisa Jokanovic.

Jokanovic has done a superb job at Craven Cottage, building a side that plays exciting attacking football and bringing young players like Ryan Sessegnon into the team.

The Evening Standard say that the Chelsea board have been increasingly impressed by the Serbian’s work down the Fulham Road, and it’s not hard to see why.

Fulham play in the Championship final this weekend, and if he goes up with them it may prove hard to persuade him to leave.

If they fall at the final hurdle however, he could be a prime target.
