“I can’t remember being allowed to play two games in a row at Chelsea” – Michy Batshuayi open to offer on his future

Michy Batshuayi has been speaking about his future, and he’s open to anything.

The forward had a successful spell at Borussia Dortmund, with a solid run in a good attacking team giving him plenty of chances to recapture the form that saw Chelsea buy him from Marseille two summers ago.

Sadly an injured ankle in April saw him miss the end of their season. He looks set to return for the World Cup however, and after that he will have to decide on whether he sees his future at Chelsea, on loan again, or permanently elsewhere.

According to quotes from the Belgian carried in Spanish publication AS, he would be happy with any of those solutions.

“Dortmund was a great experience for me… It was a while since I had played so much. I can’t remember being allowed to play two games in a row at Chelsea… I don’t have a preference; they’re two beautiful clubs. My focus is on the World Cup right now and I don’t want to think about what happens afterwards.”

Michy is being diplomatic, and who’s to say that a new boss at Chelsea might be ready to play him as much as he wants and needs. But the reality is that another spell at Dortmund, or a similar club, would be preferable for him – and if Chelsea want to improve his value, for them too.
