Borussia Dortmund want a Chelsea player in €80m spree, but it’s not Michy Batshuayi

Borussia Dortmund had great success taking Michy Batshuayi on loan from Chelsea in January, and you might expect them to want him permanently in the summer.

But they also apparently want to try out another striker flop from Stamford Bridge: Alvaro Morata.

This comes from Borussia Dortmund fan blog BVBBUZZ, citing reports in German paper BILD of an €80m spending spree by the German club.

With that money they apparently want a top striker, a midfielder and THREE defenders.

Now we all know how good Dortmund are at playing the transfer market, but that still seems pretty ambitious.

Four players for €80m is going to be very difficult for them to pull off, especially when Morata alone cost Chelsea that much last summer.

It’s feasible that the club will accept a loss on their record signing this summer, but not a big one. Unless Dortmund are going to spend €1m each on those other three players, they might be being a bit too hopeful here.
