Antonio Conte faces big decision in goal for Wembley final

Antonio Conte has a few big decisions in his lineup on Saturday, but none bigger than who will be between the sticks.

Thibaut Courtois is the number one keeper at the club, and he is indisputably the best too.

But Willy Caballero, his backup, has played in every FA Cup game so far in this campaign.

It would seem harsh to let the Argentine play all the games leading up to the final only to drop him, but it’s the right call. In his last appearance, in the league against Huddersfield with Courtois out injured, Willy dropped a clanger to let the Terriers take the lead and all but end Chelsea’s Champions League hopes.

Conte will be gone within days of the game anyway so he doesn’t really have to worry about breaking any promises to his backup.

The Italian coach has taken huge flak from Blues fans for his excessive rotation this season, so don’t be too surprised to see Caballero on the teamsheet.
