AC Milan join Juventus in chase for struggling Chelsea star as they prepare mega summer bid

Chelsea are to ready themselves for a bid from two Italian Serie A giants if the rumors rising in Italy are anything to go by, with Sky Italia now reporting AC Milan are now one of the suitors for Alvaro Morata.

The 25-year old has attracted interest from Juventus this season despite scoring a lowly 11 goals in the Premier League in his first season at Chelsea. He was signed for a mammoth £58m, according to Sky Sports, eclipsing the biggest transfer fee Chelsea have paid for a player, when they coughed out £50 million for Fernando Torres in 2011.

The striker added two more goals in other competitions but was still far away from the expectations at his doorstep when he penned the deal to join the Blues last summer. His poor form ensured he was no on the plane with his international teammates to Russia for the World Cup.

However, Milan, according to Sky in Italy via Calciomercato, are ready to pay up £60m for his signature in order to snatch him from the clutches of Juventus who are only willing to land him in a loan deal.

The player might refuse the Milan deal as his sights are on a return to Juventus after spending two seasons there before signing for Real Madrid in 2016.
