Predicted lineup: Chelsea vs. Southampton

Antonio Conte changed up his team big time for the midweek game against Burnley and got a good result. But that won’t stop him restoring the big guns for Sunday’s semi final against Southampton.

Here’s how we think he’ll set up:

Thibaut Courtois will play in goal, there’s no messing about with cup keepers when you’ve got one thing to play for.

Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen will play for sure in the back three, and while it’s a close call with Gary Cahill having played well in the week, Antonio Rudiger should get the nod.

At wing back Victor Moses can handle a second game in quick succession, Emerson Palmieri is more of a long shot given how little he’s played, but he should still get the nod.

In midfield N’Golo Kante is a definite, with Cesc Fabregas played alongside him as the team revert to a 343.

That means a front three of Willian, Eden Hazard and Olivier Giroud.

The front two worked well, but this is still a system we’re more comfortable with, and with Morata in bad form it doesn’t make sense to use it from the start.
