Michy Batshuayi has firmed up his future options but only Chelsea stand in his way

Chelsea are hoping Borussia Dortmund do not come in for Michy Batshuayi this summer after the striker’s heroics in the Bundesliga while on loan in Germany, but Goal now says Batshuayi is willing to move.

The Belgium international was very much underappreciated and undervalued at Chelsea in his 18 months stay at Stamford Bridge before sealing the six-month loan deal to join Dortmund in January.

He only started four Premier League games in 18 months and was very much ridiculed in games when Antonio Conte would deploy a winger or attacking midfielder to play as number 9 when he sits on the bench.

His move to Dortmund made sense, as the German club lacked a strong player in his position, following Pierre Emerick Aubameyang’s move to Arsenal. Batshuayi scored nine goals in 14 appearances before picking up an ankle injury that ruled him out till end of the season.

But Dortmund are willing to pay £50 million for his services next summer, a fee Chelsea may be willing to accept but are very hesitant. The player himself is ready to the move as he sees a better career prospect away from Stamford Bridge with the arrival of Olivier Giroud, who has been scoring as well to support main striker Alvaro Morata.
