Last year it was Nemanja Matic, and this summer Chelsea are preparing themselves for another battle against Manchester United in the transfer market.
The loss of Matic, and his disastrous replacement with Danny Drinkwater and Tiemoue Bakayoko, has widely been attributed as one of the reasons the Blues have struggled so much this season. The worst thing they could do now would be to let United grab Willian, another established first team star and another Mourinho favourite.
Willian has been our best attacking player this season, and it’s no surprise that Mourinho is interested in swooping for him, according to the Metro.
The good news is that the Brazilian has already spoken recently about how much he likes being at Chelsea, and how at home he feels at the club.
This summer we may well get the chance to find out whether those are just empty words of if they are actually the truth.
