“Higher” – Brazilian star thinks his value is above £25m if Chelsea decide to sell

The Daily Mail‘s interview with Kenedy, Willian and David Luiz is brilliant for many reasons, but particularly in the way that it goes into detail with the former, talking about his loan to the North East and his childhood in Brazil.

At one point he’s asked about his future, and how much he might be worth should Chelsea try to sell him. He didn’t want to put a price on himself, but the journalist suggested £25m. Kenedy’s response was simple: “higher”.

It was probably tongue in cheek, and he seems like a very humble man, but there’s no doubt that he would command more than that figure if he carries on playing as well as he has done since linking up with Rafa Benitez in the North East.

Playing regularly, and playing well, has done wonders for his value. The question is whether selling him is the right option.
