Chelsea’s demands will not stop top German club from bidding for striker

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is now a top target for Borussia Dortmund after his impressive performances in the Bundesliga since his loan signing in January.

The Evening Standard suggests the Belgium international will be one of the players Chelsea will struggle to keep hold of after impressing at Dortmund, who are now ready to sign him permanently.

Although Chelsea have reportedly slapped a £50 million price tag on the player who has scored seven goals in 10 Bundesliga games, Dortmund will still attempt to sign him permanently as they hope to secure a deal for the player who stepped into the shoes of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang effortlessly.

Dortmund’s CEO Joachim Watzke has earlier said he wants the player moving to his side permanently next summer but understands the complications in the proposed deal.

The German side had attempted to add a clause to buy in the six months loan deal in January, but Chelsea shot the idea down to prevent the unwanted loss of a player with such huge promise.
