Chelsea are willing to spend big next summer as it appears with several of their players set to leave either for dream destinations or a likely clear out by an incoming manager.

Their search for top talent in Europe has seen them linked with several top stars across the continent and now Barcelona ace Samuel Umtiti has become the latest candidate to join the Blues ranks.

The France international has become a hot property for the Catalunya club following his vastly improved form and his displays this season have been hugely impressive both in the La Liga and the Champions League campaigns.

Reports in recent weeks had linked Manchester United with him, as they are ready to offer him huge weekly wages as compared to Barcelona who are rather slow in renewing a contract they were once desperate to commit to.

The Gambling Times say Chelsea are ready to join Liverpool and Man United in offering the bumper wage deal to Umtiti’s representatives to push through a move next summer.

Chelsea are looking to replace David Luiz and possibly Gary Cahill next summer as they seek to revamp a dying defense unit that looked so solid last season.
