Chelsea will be one of the leading candidates to sign Robert Lewandowski next summer after Przeglad Sportowy reported that the striker’s agent is in close contact with the Blues and two other European giants.
Lewandowski is close to leaving Bayern Munich despite clear success at the Bavarian club, scoring goals for fun and winning titles.
He has been one of the best striker on the planet in recent years and keeps improving, prompting interest from the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain. But it appears the Blues are now one of the front runners for his signature after top officials got close to super agent Pini Zahavi.
With Real in the picture, any deal will take a lot of effort from Blues negotiating chiefs, but the advantage of playing in the Premier League might play to Chelsea favor, although their absence from the Champions League will be a significant problem to their chances.
Lewadowski still harbors dreams of playing for Real and that makes them favorites according to the report.
