Chelsea add shocking manager to four-man list to replace Antonio Conte next summer

Chelsea have added a new face and name to the list of possible replacements for Antonio Conte next summer and it’s the Scottish League champion Brendan Rodgers, according to the Sunday Express.

Rodgers has been one of the best local managers in the United Kingdom, gaining a huge reputation after his work at Swansea City and later almost leading Liverpool to an unprecedented league win in 2013/2014. He has won the hearts of many again after his remarkable success in the Scottish league since he took over, and has won the title every year since arriving.

His season has been a stark contrast to the one Antonio Conte has experienced at Chelsea. The Italian is under immense pressure with results not going his side’s way this season. They are fifth and were down 2-0 to Southampton last weekend only to be rescued by the heroics of Olivier Giroud.

Conte is expected to leave this summer, and a list of coaches have been drawn up by club top officials with the Express saying Rodgers has been added alongside Luis Enrique, Mauricio Sarri and Massimiliano Allegri.
