“We can’t write ourselves off” – Victor Moses confident Chelsea can make top four after second consecutive win

Victor Moses has expressed joy at Chelsea’s latest win against Burnley as they picked up another three points in the Premier League.

The Blues are hoping to catch Tottenham Hotspur who lie fourth in the table, to give respectability to their season. The campaign can be categorized as a failure largely due to the number of games lost and the vital points thrown away in games they were expected to win.

The clash with Burnley was a tricky one, simply because the CLarets had won all of their last eight games in a row, for the first time in their history, and were expected to give Chelsea a run for their money. But Moses forced an own goal out of the them in the first half and later added a second to seal the game for the Blues.

The importance of the win cannot be understated, and for the winger turned defender, mostly maligned by Chelsea fans across the world, the result is important because it will see them go into the FA Cup semi final against Burnley high on confidence.

“We deserved the points from the start, showed great character at a place where it isn’t easy to win. Take each game as it comes and do as well as we can. We can’t write ourselves off, take each game as it comes and finish strongly.

We believe in our players but the important thing was the three points and to take momentum into Sunday.”
