Arsenal grow increasingly confident of beating Chelsea to the signing of one major summer target

Chelsea and Arsenal are expected to do battle next summer for a number of targets, players and managers alike and if the report by the Mirror is to be believed, the Gunners are confident of beating the Blues to one of them.

Last week, Arsene Wenger announced he was to be out of his hot seat at the Emirates in the summer, but replacements for him have not been found, and as things stand, some of their targets will clash with their London rivals’.

Chelsea themselves are considering a few managers to replace Antonio Conte in the summer although the Italian manager still retains his seat at Stamford Bridge and yet no official confirmation has been made to the effect that he leaves in a few months.

Luis Enrique is one of those possible replacements mentioned in the media recently, but John Cross of the Mirror reports that Arsenal may be leading the chase for him due to head of football relations Raul Sanllehi’s relationship with Enrique, from their time at Barcelona.
