Antonio Conte faces huge question over Willy Caballero

Antonio Conte has never been much of a manager for excessive rotation, but he has used the cup competitions to switch things up now and again.

Willy Caballero has been between the sticks for all of the Blues’ FA Cup games so far this season, and now Conte faces a huge question over whether to keep that pattern going today.

The keeper hasn’t been terrible at all in his appearances – in fact at one point fans were calling for him to start ahead of Thibaut Courtois – but the reality is that the Belgian is still a long way ahead in terms of quality.

Look back to the earlier rounds of the cup, when Chelsea were playing much better overall, and you’ll see a defence that never looked too confident with the Argentine backing them up.

Given that this is potentially the last significant game of Chelsea’s season, there’s no reason to mess around. Conte should play his strongest team – and that includes Thibaut.
