Willian tells Chelsea fans what they want to hear about his future and next contract

Despite starting just 16 of Chelsea’s 29 games this season in the Premier League, Willian has contributed in attack more time than he has done in each season since he arrived at Chelsea.

The Blues are worryingly in disappointing form this campaign, placing a lowly fifth with only eight games remaining.

Antonio Conte’s side need to win all their games to stand a chance of making the top four at the end of the campaign and Willian will be crucial to this course.

The Brazil international has scored 13 goals this season, six in the Premier Legaue, three in the Champion League, antoher three in each of the FA Cup and the Carabo Cup. He scored in Chelsea’s home game against Barcelona, scored another at Old Trafford before adding a third in two weeks at Stamford Bridge against Crystal Palace last weekend.

That makes this season, Willian’s best since he signed in 2014. But the winger is looking beyond this and wants to sign a new deal to commit to the club.

“My goal is to stay here at Chelsea. Unless Chelsea does not want me anymore – then I’d have to find another club.

I want to stay here for many more years, if it is possible, to renew my contract. On that, we have not talked yet. It might happen. I’m adapted here. I will have been here five years at the end of the season, I’ve won titles. I think I have the affection of the fans too.”
