Incoming Real Madrid boss tells club to sign Chelsea forward next summer

Real Madrid are likely to re-sign striker Alvaro Morata next summer after the striker failed to perform consistently in his new squad.

The Chelsea striker’s switched to the Blues last year for a fee of £58 million from the Spanish giants but has not been able to perform to the expected standards after taking the role of Diego Costa. The 25-year-old exited the Santiago Bernabeu due to his inability to secure first team place under boss Zinedine Zidane, playing second fiddle to Karim Benzema.

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is likely to take the place of Zidane in the dugout, following Zidane’s largely poor season, losing top spot in the La Liga to Barcelona and also exiting the Copa Del Rey early in the competition. The report by Don Balon has it that the incoming boss has requested for Morata to rejoin Madrid.

Allegri, claims he believes in Morata and knows him very well after he managing him at Juventus for two years.

At Juventus, Morata has 27 goals to his name and made 93 appearances for the Italian giants, which has caught the attention of Real to attempt a buy-back clause.

Although the Spanish International had a great start, he has failed to impress since December and has been found on the bench lately due to his poor form.
