The good omen for Chelsea’s clash with Leicester

If you put stock in the history of a fixture, Chelsea are in a very strong position for today’s clash with Leicester.

The teams have met five times in the last two seasons, and the Blues have yet to lose to the Foxes.

After an exciting midweek cup win just a couple of months into the reign of Antonio Conte, Chelsea sporting their fresh 352 formation blew them away again a month or so later.

They matched that 3-0 win with another at the King Power in the spring to make it three last wins in a row last season.

This season we’ve faced them twice in the league, winning one with a goal from Morata, and drawing the fixture at the Bridge 0-0.

Keeping this record going today won’t be easy, at a fired up King Power, but Conte seems to have the edge over whoever is in charge of the home side at the moment.
