Diego Costa was always a slippery character. We knew that from the day he arrived at Chelsea.
Largely it worked in our favour, but since he decided he wanted to go a year ago, it’s been difficult to swallow.
His latest words have come on being included in the Spain squad for friendlies against Argentina and Gemany this week.

He had missed out on previous squads this season as he had gone on strike until Chelsea sanctioned a move to Atletico Madrid, who had a transfer ban until January. Since then, he has played well for his club and earned this latest callup.
But he still insists that the strike he took at home in Brazil was not his own doing, telling reporters “it’s very clear that it was not my fault that I was in Brazil,” according to the Evening Standard.
Really Diego? Well whose fault was it then? You wanted a move, you stayed on holiday, and you got one. That should be enough for you, don’t try and shift the blame even further.
