Chelsea’s future comes down to spring Tottenham clash once again

It’s becoming quite the tradition these days, a Chelsea game against Tottenham in the closing weeks of the season with huge repercussions for both clubs.

Two seasons it was the Blues under Guus Hiddink ruining Tottenham’s title challenge with a famous win, but now it’s Chelsea who are in the desperate position of needing to win.

The Blues not only need points for their Champions League challenge, they also need to take points off their rivals for those spots. Tottenham are the first up.

If they fail to make it into Europe’s top competition, they stand to lose some of their best players including Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois, who will likely choose to move this summer rather than hang around in the Europe League.

We have a great home record against Spurs, but will that be enough to get us through against a team that has  been notably superior to ours this season?
