Chelsea ‘tried everything’ to sign Paris Saint Germain star on January transfer deadline day

Fresh reports reveal Chelsea made last minute attempts to sign Paris Saint Germain defender Layvin Kurzawa on the final day of the winter transfer window.

The defender seemed settled at PSG and was devoid of any links with major European clubs chasing him in the transfer window, but the latest report by France’s RMC that says the Blues tried everything to sign the left full back in January, and could mean Chelsea want more players in his position in the coming summer.

Chelsea had signed Emerson Palmieri before their reported attempt on the left full back from PSG. Meaning Antonio Conte wanted more backup for Marcos Alonso in a department the Spain international has held as his since his arrival in London two summers ago.

There are new reports though, after Alonso’s call up to the Spain national team recently, that Chelsea are expecting bids for him in the summer so maybe a second attempt for Kurzawa could be on.
