Chelsea not interested in midfielder chased by Bayern and Manchester City

It’s coming to that time of year where players whose contracts are up this summer start to commit to their new club, and some of the dominoes are starting to fall.

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can is one of the hottest properties in that market, having shown solid development since arriving at the club.

Since rumours started that the German was going to run down his deal at Anfield, it’s  been Juventus, the most notorious of free contract snapper-uppers out there that have been at the front of the queue.

But now his deal is just months away from finishing, Manchester City and Can’s former club Bayern Munich are also apparently interested.

Chelsea, despite their cost cutting in recent times, and their need for central midfielders, have not yet been mentioned.

Can is a good player, although perhaps not the right man to replace Cesc Fabregas. Still, expect the club to sniff around what his demands might be in the coming weeks.
