Chelsea have been linked with a move for Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to whispers on various sites like TalkSport.
The Blues seem no closer to getting their current stopper Thibaut Courtois to sign a new deal, and if they aren’t able to persuade him by the summer their hand will be forced and they will be compelled to sell him to ensure they get a fair fee, and teams don’t simply wait for him to be available on a free transfer.
Donnarumma is a true prodigy, having broken into the Milan team at just 17. He won’t come cheap, especially as Mino Raiola is his agent, but if they get him they could have their goalkeeping position sorted out for the next 15 years. Transfermarkt have the youngster valued at £36m, but for perhaps the most talented keeper under the age of 20 in the world, Chelsea could expect to pay perhaps twice that.
