Afriyie Acquah of Torino competes with Kalidou Koulibaly.

Chelsea and Arsenal are set to fight for the transfer of Senegal international Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli this summer. The defender has earned  significant status among his peers for the past three years and has put up impressive performances which led the Neapolitans to secure top position in the Serie A table this season.

Koulibaly’s performance has caught the attention of top Premier League giants and they are eager to land him as a defender in their camps beyond this season. The Mirror reports that potential suitors who have an eye for the rising Serie A defender include Chelsea and Arsenal who are keeping track of his performances very closely.

These top clubs are ready to swoop the 26-year-old in the early part of summer transfer market before his worth shoots extremely high after the World Cup in Russia, although Chelsea made attempts last summer to sign, to no avail due to Napoli’s demands.
