Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has revealed he is happy Tiemoue Bakayoko is out injured as he thinks the midfielder can take time out and work on his form and concentration in games.
The former AS Monaco midfielder has been one of Chelsea less better players this season failing to recapture his top form at Monaco last season, when he helped the French giants to the semi final of the Champions League.
He was one of the most coveted players in last summer’s transfer market and eventually arrived at Stamford Bridge, replacing Nemanja Matic who left for Manchester United.
Bakayoko was shown a direct red card in the game against Watford when Chelsea lost 4-1 at the Vicarage Road. His form in the build up to that game, was one of the most talked about among Chelsea fans as the club continue their disappointing title defense.
Conte says the midfielder is back from his injury but a slow return to the setup will be put in place as he works on his lost form.
Conte on Bakayoko: "I think if I have to see a positive aspect about his injury, he has had a lot of time to work on the bad performance against Watford. Now he has been training with us for one week. His physical condition is not bad." #CFC
