Tiemoue Bakayoko and David Luiz missing from Chelsea’s training ahead of Barcelona clash

David Luiz and Tiemoue Bakayoko were missing from Monday’s training session as their teammates begin preparations for their crucial Champions League game with Barcelona.

The Blues have their backs against the wall in their round of 16 clash on Tuesday, and Antonio Conte was sure hoping to have the full compliment of his squad but Luiz and Bakayoko have not recovered in time to receive tactical instructions ahead of the game per a report on the club’s official website.

With the Champions League and FA Cup the only trophies Chelsea can possibly win, Conte will need all his stars fully fit.

Despite Bakayoko’s sending off in Chelsea’s defeat to Watford a fortnight ago, the Frenchman did not feature for his side against Hull City last Friday, although he missed the Blues’ win over West Brom last Monday due to suspension.

Conte will most likely go with Andreas Christensen in the middle of the three man defense and also stick with Danny Drinkwater as one of three central midfielders against Barcelona, should he decide for a five-man midfield.
