Antonio Conte is a man under immense pressure forllowing Chelsea disatrous results recently, and with rumors intensifying that the Italian could be sacked in the coming weeks, the Mirror has reported the Blues will have cough out up to £26.7 million to dispense the manager.
The last two games Chelsea have played in saw them dropping to fourth place, 19 points behind League Leaders Manchester City as the team is struggling to hold on to their Championship title. Chelsea lost to Bournemouth 3-0 before another devastating 4-1 loss to Watford at teh Vicarage Road.
The Italian manager was given an enticing new deal last summer that ends in 2021 after he led the West London outfits to win the championship and that may yet be the problem for the Stamford Bridge outfit at the moment.
Marina Granovskaia club director has been assured by the Italian that he will come up with better results in both Champions League and domestic cups. That may be Conte’s saving grace at the moment, although the amount Chelsea will have to pay him, is also a deterrent.
