Michy Batshuayi’s move to Dortmund has worked out incredibly well for all three parties.
The striker is getting games – and scoring goals. Chelsea have an asset who is appreciating, and Dortmund have a forward scoring goals as a replacement for Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
And things could get even better for Chelsea, if the rumours in today’s Daily Mail are to be believed.
They claim that Dortmund’s desire to hold on to the Belgian striker could mean that Chelsea are in pole position to sign Christian Pulisic, the impressive American attacker who has been the jewel in their XI this season.
Clearly the Blues would have to lay a lot of cash down on the table too, but the fact that Dortmund would be interested in Batshuayi as one of the replacements they bring in for Pulisic means that there is logic to this rumour.
19 year old American international Pulisic has already said that he wants to play in the Premier League, and with Pedro and Willian entering their 30s, this could be the perfect moment for the Blues to splash out on a replacement.
