On social media, Tuesday night, Chelsea fans expressed their joy and happiness at the omission of Gary Cahill from the starting line up against Barcelona.
A first leg round of 16 clash with the La Liga giants would have meant the captain of Chelsea would start the game any day. But not Gary Cahill and his recent form under Antonio Conte.
The Chelsea captain has been one of the worse players in recent games for the Blues, as Chelsea got beaten in the Premier League by Watford and Bournemouth. He was one of the changes Conte made to ensure the Blues returned to form in the last three games and Chelsea fans did not hide their pleasure seeing the former Bolton Wanderers defender, sat on the bench for a second consecutive game.
