Antonio Conte given advice by Chelsea legend on how to beat Manchester United

Antonio Conte’s rivalry with former Blues boss Jose Mourinho will resume when Chelsea and Manchester United meet on the pitch and former Chelsea defender Graeme Le Saux tells the Italian manager to get his side to be more aggressive on the pitch.

Both managers have been at the center of controversy since the beginning of the year after throwing jabs at each other. Chelsea’s results have dropped since then until a remarkable renaissance against West Brom, Hull City and Barcelona.

Chelsea’s 4-0 home victory last season against the Red Devils may been one cause of their banter. Conte’s celebrations in the win, irked Mourinho who returned to taunt the Italian of behaving like a ‘clown on the touchline’ although he denied referring to Conte after the former Italian manager responded to his comments.

If Conte wants to have one over his new foe in the Premier League on Sunday, Graeme Le Saux tells Conte to prepare his side to be a more aggressive in their play.

“Chelsea need to play against United like they have done in recent years — that is aggressive, strong and with belief in their system. One of Antonio’s great successes is tactically he is the first coach to win the Premier League with a back three.

But as a manager you have to constantly reinvent your strategy, changing personnel and this is another opportunity to prove himself against one of the biggest teams in the world.”
