Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has stated his desire to win the Carabao Cup and promises to go hard on Arsenal when the two sides meet on Wednesday in the semi final of the competition.
Arsenal were the side that beat Chelsea in the final of the FA Cup and also repeated the victory against the Blues in the FA Community Shield in August, so Conte and his men will be guarded.
The game will be the Premier League champions’ second game against the Gunners this month and a return leg, a fortnight from now will mark the third meeting in January, making the North Londoners the side Conte has met most in his time at Chelsea since he arrived at the club in the summer of 2016.
Conte may be well aware of the threat Arsene Wenger’s charges pose and is bracing himself for the first leg of the semi final tie.
