Why Chelsea’s recent signings Barkley, Bakayoko and Drinkwater annoy Antonio Conte

When one takes a close look at three of Chelsea’s recent signings in the last two transfer windows, there’s an unpleasant trend that may have annoyed every fan, Antonio Conte has joined the list of annoyed folks after those deals, per the Times.

All three players arrived at Chelsea injured and needed time off to cool off their pains and heal their wounds before teaming up with the rest of the Chelsea teammates.

The situation seems to annoy Conte who would ideally require his new signings to be ready to tactical instructions rather than physical exercises.

It cost Chelsea £90 million to seal the deals that brought three fine gentlemen to Stamford Bridge. Tiemoue Bakayoko arrived for £40m, Danny Drinkwater followed last summer for £35m from Leicester City while Ross Barkley came in for £15m from Everton but none has taken the league by storm since their arrivals.

Their injuries playing a big role in their absence from top player list in the top flight and Conte, needing quality and fit options in his squad to compete on all fronts, is angered by the fact his recruitment team at Chelsea always bring in midfielders, hurt and broken.
