Chelsea midfielder among top players in Europe in important stats despite Blue’s lack of goals

Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas has earned himself a great mention among some top creative players in Europe after his exploits for the Blues this season.

Chelsea have not been the best scoring side this season, mostly struggling to get goals in games, as typified in their lack of goals in the last three games in three different competitions.

Several of their forwards are guilty of missing key chances that could have earned them three points in games they lost or drew but whoscored.com’s latest stats reveal chances have not been the problem for the Blues. They have rather been overfed as it seems. Cesc Fabregas is the fourth best player across the continent to have created the most chances in games this season as reported by the Sun.

Cesc Fabregas is fourth on the creative players list this season

Fabregas has created a total of 63 goal scoring chances and lies fourth with 3.15 chances per game, behind Marseille forward Dimitri Payet, world’s most expensive player Neymar and Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil.

Fabregas has bettered the creative efforts of Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne who lies sixth with 3.00 chances per game.
