Chelsea linked with shock return for former manager as Conte looks set for exit

Chelsea are considering a return for former boss Carlo Ancelotti as Antonio Conte is set to leave the club next summer according to Corriere Delo Sport.

The Italian newspaper recently reported that Arsenal are very close to sealing a contract with Ancelotti as the manager to replace Arsene Wenger but have made a turnaround to say other top English clubs are also interested in snapping up the former Real Madrid tactician.

Ancelotti spent two seasons at Chelsea, winning the Premier League title and the FA Cup in his first season, although going trophy less the following campaign. His reign was then cut short as the Blue went for Andre Villas Boas who was also sacked barely a few months after his takeover.

Football Italia quote Corriere Delo Sport as saying Chelsea have now joined the list of top European clubs after Ancelotti inclduign Tottenham Hotspur, who have staled under Mauricio Pochettino this season.
