Chelsea could be losing David Luiz this winter transfer window but that will not concern Blues fans too much if he moves abroad, but fresh reports on Tuesday say the defender could be heading to Arsenal.
The Gunners have taken the lead on many of the top European clubs interested in signing Luiz according to the Daily Express.
Arsene Wenger is said to be concerned by the quality in his defense and has chosen to beef his options up with the signing of Luiz. Luiz’s signing at the Emirates will represent a major coup for the Gunners with the fans crying out for huge investment in the team in order to strongly contend the title they have missed out on for more than a decade now.
Laurent Kocielny and Nacho Monreal give Arsenal a variety of reasons to be discontent with their back four as form and injuries mean their backline is not as strong as other top clubs in the top flight.
With Liverpool nailing Virgil van Dijk, Wenger is desperate to match that level of ambition and the capture of Luiz will do just that.
What is interesting though is if Chelsea will let Luiz move to the Emirates after Arsenal’s handling of the Alex Chamberlain situation in the summer, seeing the midfielder off to Liverpool instead.
Other top clubs interested in Luiz are Juventus, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
